12 Nights of Christmas

Three weeks ago, after walking in on her boyfriend cheating on her, Anastasia finds her first gift and quickly realizes she has a stalker. One who she can feel watching her, only to wake to a new gift each morning, each one dirtier than the last, promising to possess her, and make her fantasies a reality. She welcomes the distraction from the one she can’t have, in hopes her masked mystery man will help her get over the one person she wants but can’t have. When the twelfth night comes he promises to reveal his identity. Will everything she's hoped for come true or will she walk away? For the last several years he has watched her, watched her fall for his brother, watched when his brother broke her heart. But this Christmas he intends to give her more than just a distraction. He plans to give her what she needs, and what she needs is him. She needs him to possess her body, her screams, and her soul. And he has 12 days to toy with her before he makes her his for Christmas. There is no doubt in his mind she will be his.

How did it start?

This one was so fun to write. It started after I heard the song 12 Days of Christmas, I had the idea to take it and make it dark and spicy. The first thing I did was make the list of the twelve items the stalker would gift the FMC- which changed several times- then I got inspo for the characters and then just started to write.

Did you face any challenges?

This was one of the easier ones for me to write. When I wrote it, I was super sick; I had bronchitis, and I was on medication for it to help with my asthma too, so I was home for almost a month, and on steroids. If I am being honest, I don't remember a lot of this one. It took about two months, and I had fun; it's when I realized writing is my passion. But the one thing I did struggle with was the FMC, she is a brat -and as much as I would love to be, that's just not me. So, I needed help. Thankfully, I met my bestie then, and she helped me through it all.

What did you learn during this process?

I learned that the more I plan, the more I get in my head and get overwhelmed, and second-guess myself. Because of the meds I was on, I was more able to let go and just write. I also learned that I really enjoy exploring dark romance.
